Ukrainian diplomats ask freedom for Tymoshenko

Representatives of the Ukrainian diplomacy urged to release former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko from prison. 
With the appropriate application they appealed to the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.

According to diplomats, the absence of a decision to release Tymoshenko for the world community is evidence of non-democratic Ukrainian government and the main obstacle to the signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
Therefore, the statement said, the output of the leader of the opposition to freedom will mean the end of political repression, the restoration of the rule of law and to realize the historical European choice of Ukraine.
"Dear Mr Yanukovych, are writing to you with a request to take a decision on the release of Yulia Tymoshenko from punishment under Section 27 of Part 1 of Art. 106 of the Constitution of Ukraine and part 1 of article. 87 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, as well as its full legal and political rehabilitation "- said in an address to Yanukovych.
The document put their signatures to the ex-Ministers of Foreign Affairs Borys Tarasyuk Poroshenko, former Deputy Foreign Minister Valentin Nalyvaychenko, Alexander Chaly, the first Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Oleh Belorus, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Vladimir Vasilenko, poet and ambassador Pavlychko.
